WWF project at Nalbari school

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has now started working for the environmental upliftment of State schools. Under its project 'Education for Sustainable Development ( ESD), it has decided to cover 18 districts. Under this project, the WWF in collaboration with the District Institute of Educational Traininig (DIET) will adopt one school in each district.The adopted school will be turned into a model school on environmental awareness.

In Nalbari district, the WWF has adopted Bijulighat MV School for this environmental and socio-economic project. The principal of Nalbari DIET, Munindra Barman formally inaugurated the project in a function held at the school here recently. Addressing the meeting, Barman said that the new generation must be educated about the preservation of our environment for their better future.
