To protect tigers along the Indo-Nepal border, joint monitoring will be undertaken by the two countries, it has been announced in New Delhi, “Bilateral meetings between India and Nepal have resulted in positive outcomes for wildlife conservation," said SP Yadav, Deputy Inspector General of India's National Tiger Conservation Authority. The consultative meeting between the two countries agreed on an 11- point resolution that laid stress on the joint monitoring of tigers dwelling in the Terai Arc Landscape (TAL) which stretches over 950 km across the borders of India and Nepal.
