Tigress killed near Corbett National Park

Kotdwara, A young tigress was found dead in the Tarai West forest division near Corbett National Park with forest officials terming her death as "unnatural".

 The tigress was found dead on the banks of river Dabaka on Thursday morning in the N-1 Block of Gabua beat in Bail Paraw Range of Tarai, west. Prima facie evidence suggests that the death was unnatural, Nishant Varma, divisional forest officer, Tarai west region said.

 A post-mortem conducted by a panel of three doctors revealed that the death was caused by injuries.

Although some forest officials claim that the tigress might have died of a motor accident.
