 Tezpur, Assam: An elephant was electrocuted when it came out of jungle in search of food in a paddy field in Amerabari forest range in Sonitpur district on Monday, a forest official said. Four elephants came out of the Sonitpur Elephant Reserve in search of food and were moving around the paddy field on Sunday night, Sonitpur west division forest officer Narayan Mahanta said. One elephant was electrocuted when it came in contact witha 11 KV electric wire this morning, Mr Mahanta said.
