Rajkot:- A couple in Bhachadar village of Rajula taluka in Amreli district was arrested for hunting peacocks on Tuesday.


 The forest department  based on the specific information  held Haresh Vaghela (25) and his wife Jaya (25) with peacock carcass.


The national bird peacock falls under Schedule of the Wildlife Protecton Act (WPA) with entails is maximum punishment of seven years imprisonment. Its believed that the couple had hunted the bird to eat.
