Maharashtra: Three arrested for killing tiger, wild boar in Umred

Nagpur Eight day after a tiger and a wild boar were poached in Makardhokda in North Umred, the forest officials have arrested three persons involved in the case. The poaching case was initially dubbed as a road accident case.
On March 13, a tiger was found dead under mysterious circumstance. During the search, a wild boar was also found allegedly poached by the accused who worked as labourers in a brick kiln owned by a former corporator. A post mortem revealed that both animal were electrocuted by laying live wires.
ACF Narendra Chandewar Said, The accused are habitual poachers involved in killing herbivores for bushmeat. Electrocution as the cause of death was learned after the area was scanned with the help of the dog squad. We found bundles of galvanized wires and wooden pegs from the spot.
During the probe, the accountant with the brick kiln, Navneet Shamkuwar, Tumsar, said that three labourers were involved in killing the tiger and wild boar.
All the accused were rounded up from Rampur (Bhata) in chhindwara district in Madhya Pradesh.
They have been identified as Bhhaiyalal Darsimha, Manaklal Darsimha and Dilip Shinu. All of them will be produced before the JMFC, Umred, on Monday.
