WWF complains against PML's tiger parade

The Asian Age, New Delhi, 6th May, 2013

The World Wildlife Fund has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission  of Pakistan against the Pakistan Muslim league (Nawaz) accusing the party of animal cruelty for dragging live tigers in their campaign.

The WWF complained to the election watchdog that the PML-N was parading tigers around in cages at their rallies in extreme heat, endangered the lives of the animals and subjecting them to torture, Most of the PML-N candidates have been moving in their constituencies with dummy tigers while some are using live tigers to attract the voters. Tiger is election symbol to the PML-N.
