What is the WWF-ENVIS Centre?
The ENVIS Centre 07 at World Wide Fund for Nature-India (WWF-India) was established on October 27, 1984 under the Environmental Information System (ENVIS) Programme of the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India.

What are the activities of WWF-ENVIS Centre?
In keeping with its mandate to serve as a repository of information on the subject areas of NGOs, the Parliament and Media, the Centre regularly collects, collates, develops and disseminates information pertaining to these three focal areas. Questions and replies by various Ministries are regularly obtained from the Parliament Secretariat during the three Sessions of the Parliament every year; print media reports on environment are classified and collated into different subject categories; information and activities about NGOs are regularly tracked, and a newsletter is regularly published on a quarterly basis. The Centre responds regularly to queries pertaining to its focal areas by phone and e-mail. Various queries through personal visits from NGOs and other user groups are also handled by the Centre.
